At TechySTEAM Explorers, we’re on a mission to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence in children through hands-on play.
Our sessions bring together science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths in fun, engaging ways that help children explore, experiment, and learn without even realising it.
Who we are
The idea began back in 2017 with TechyTots - to introduce coding skills through play. What started as a few local sessions quickly grew into something much bigger, with schools and families across the UK asking for more.
Building on the success of TechyTots, we are excited to bring you TechySTEAM explorers!
TechySTEAM Explorers reflects everything we’ve become, and everything we believe in.
We're excited to give children the full STEAM experience. From science experiments, engineering builds, creative art projects, coding, and maths challenges - all delivered in a fun, hands-on way.

MEET Julie!
I’m Julie, the founder of the TechySTEAM Explorers Group.
Back in 2017, I saw the need for something different. Children were surrounded by technology, yet very few opportunities existed for them to learn coding and problem-solving in a way that felt playful and exciting.
That’s how TechyTots began, with a simple idea to bring together technology and play so that even the youngest children could start exploring coding with confidence - in a FUN way!
What started as small community sessions soon grew into something much bigger. Families loved it, schools wanted more, and it became clear that children wanted these kinds of hands-on learning experiences. By 2018 I was running multiple classes, and in 2021 I stepped fully into the role of franchisor, ready to expand the vision across the UK.
As the business has grown, so has our ambition. Coding was the starting point, but children need more than that.
They need the full spectrum of STEAM: science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths. That’s why TechyTots has now evolved into the TechySTEAM Explorers Group.
My goal is simple, to spark curiosity, creativity, and confidence in every child who joins us, while building a national network of passionate franchisees who want to make a difference in their own communities.
Our Mission
At TechySTEAM Explorers we want to ensure all children are given the opportunity to learn how to code, we are committed to developing our network so we are able to make TechySTEAM Explorers and Techy Tots available to children across the UK. We will continue to develop our program and ensure we maintain the highest standard of teaching across all our classes, whilst working with curriculum advisors to ensure we are always fulfilling our role of teaching in line with the national curriculum.
Most of all we will make our classes fun and inclusive!
